Bally Launches New Flagship Store on New Bond Street in London

Bally, the renowned luxury brand, has recently launched its new flagship store on New Bond Street in London, a highly esteemed destination for luxury shopping. Spanning across three floors and over 400 square meters, the boutique truly offers a holistic shopping experience. The ground floor is dedicated to the men’s collection, while the first floor showcases the women’s line. The top floor offers various personalized services, including Made to Order, Made to Colour, and Shoe Caring Services.

The overall aesthetic of the flagship store pays homage to Bally’s original store, which was situated in Switzerland during the 1920s. By drawing inspiration from their storied past, the brand aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia among customers while demonstrating their longstanding expertise in design.

Bally, a trailblazer in avant-garde luxury, was founded in 1851 by Carl Franz Bally and his brother Fritz under the name Bally & Con. Initially specializing in the production of elastic ribbons, the brand quickly recognized the potential for expansion and decided to venture into handmade shoe production. This led to the opening of their first factory in their hometown. However, Fritz retired shortly after, leaving Carl Franz to carry the company forward.

By 1870, Bally had solidified its position as a leader in the shoe industry. Carl Franz eventually passed the reins to his sons, and in 1892, the company was renamed Bally & Sons. Bally continued to flourish internationally, opening stores in cities like Paris, Geneva, Buenos Aires, and London.

A true pioneer, Bally was one of the first luxury brands to establish a presence in China during the 1880s. This strategic decision greatly contributed to the brand’s global expansion in the 1990s, reaching countries such as Japan, Australia, Brazil, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.

Today, Bally’s offerings expand beyond footwear and encompass ready-to-wear clothing and accessories. Headquartered in Caslano, Switzerland, the brand is now under the leadership of CEO Frédéric de Narp and is proudly part of the esteemed LVMH group.
