Balenciaga Unveils Second Boutique in Beverly Hills

Balenciaga, the luxury fashion brand, has recently unveiled its second boutique in Beverly Hills, only a short distance from its initial store on Rodeo Drive. This new store spans an impressive 550 square meters and showcases Balenciaga’s unique Raw Architecture concept.

One of the standout features of the boutique is the incorporation of naturalistic mannequin arms in the store front. Made of signature grey microsuede, these arms elegantly display various accessories, including sunglasses, telephones, coffee cups, bottles, wallets, and the flagship Monaco chain bag. This creative installation aims to emphasize the accessibility and tactile nature of Balenciaga’s new bag line.

Upon entering the store, visitors are treated to a high-definition digital screen playing a video featuring Balenciaga’s new brand ambassador, the renowned actress Isabelle Huppert. The store’s staff, dressed in chic black attire and Steroid derbies, perfectly embody the Raw Architecture concept, which focuses on sustainability, minimal resource usage, and a monochromatic decor incorporating existing structural elements. The raw walls, exposing cement bricks, together with the untreated concrete floors, contribute to the industrial aesthetic of the store.

Moving to the first floor, customers can browse through an array of bags and small leather goods displayed on sleek aluminum shelves. Glass consoles house Balenciaga jewelry, eyewear, as well as cushions and blankets adorned with the brand’s logo. Towards the back of the store, a carefully curated collection of shoes, sandals, boots, and clogs awaits fashion enthusiasts.

Continuing the design approach of the first floor, the second floor also features a brick decor and a ceiling grid, creating a captivating ambiance. Hanging gracefully from a long aluminum rack suspended in the air, evening gowns and ready-to-wear pieces take center stage. The second floor also offers two fitting rooms, including a VIP option, all decorated in the raw and mineral style. Lastly, a giant black sofa-puff invites customers to relax and admire the breathtaking view of Rodeo Drive.

Additionally, as part of this expansion, Balenciaga has transformed its previous store at 338 North Rodeo Drive into a dedicated men’s store. Furthermore, on December 2, the brand will be showcasing its collection in Los Angeles, further strengthening its presence in the vibrant city.
