Balenciaga Relocates Teams to New Premises in Paris

Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga recently made a significant move as it relocated its teams to new premises in Paris. This decision was prompted by the brand’s remarkable success, achieving sales of over €1 billion in 2021 and necessitated more space to accommodate its growing operations. Previously situated at 40 rue de Sèvres, in the former Laennec hospital, Balenciaga has now settled into a newly renovated 3,850 square meter building at 16-18 rue Vaneau in the esteemed 7th arrondissement of Paris.

The new building underwent a meticulous renovation process that spanned nearly two years and cost a significant sum of €16.5 million. Positioned within close proximity to the Hôtel de Matignon, the official residence of the French prime minister, the building spans five floors and boasts an array of impressive features. These include offices, meeting rooms, and a cafeteria, all designed to provide a functional and comfortable work environment for the brand’s teams. Renowned architectural firm DTACC spearheaded the redesign, expertly enlarging certain areas, introducing light wells, and creating a magnificent green terrace that offers breathtaking views of the iconic Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. Additionally, the gardens and interior courtyard received substantial upgrades to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the premises.

While a portion of Balenciaga’s teams have already made the transition to the new location, others continue to operate from the Laennec site. This strategic move signifies the brand’s continuous growth and success within the luxury fashion industry. Equipped with their new, modern, and spacious offices, Balenciaga is well-positioned to support its expanding operations and maintain its esteemed status as a prominent fashion brand.
