Balenciaga and Yeezy Gap Launch Collaborative Gaming Content

Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga and ready-to-wear label Yeezy Gap have joined forces for their first-ever collaboration, resulting in the release of a gaming content called Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga. Balenciaga, known for its Haute Couture heritage and street style influences, has partnered with Gap and Kanye West’s Yeezy label to create a mobile-only video game. In the game, players can customize their avatar, choosing their gender, skin color, and outfit inspired by the capsule collection. The objective is to navigate through obstacle courses and fly through the sky, collecting points while avoiding birds. To celebrate the launch, a special event was held in New York, allowing fans to try out the game on large screens at a pop-up Gap store in Times Square.

This collaboration between Balenciaga, Yeezy Gap, and Kanye West’s fashion label was announced earlier this year, with a two-part partnership plan. The first drop, including the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection, was launched in the summer, with a second capsule planned for release later in the year. It is interesting to note that Balenciaga already dabbled in the gaming world with the release of their own video game called “Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow” in 2020.
