Baird Group Receives £7 Million Funding from Bibby Financial Services

Baird Group, a UK-based menswear retailer and wholesaler, has recently received a financial boost of £7 million from Bibby Financial Services (BFS). This injection of funds will be instrumental in the company’s plan to expand internationally and increase stock volumes, particularly from new and existing suppliers in Asia. Baird Group’s Chief Financial Officer, Nick Scott, is adamant about their goal to become the go-to brand for affordable and stylish menswear, and views BFS as a vital partner in achieving this vision.

One of the key reasons for choosing BFS as a funding partner is their ability to provide support for Letters of Credit. This support has allowed Baird Group to greatly enhance its stock volumes from international suppliers, playing a crucial role in their overall growth strategy. As a subsidiary of Arafa Holding, an Egypt-based textiles and apparel manufacturer, Baird Group not only owns popular brands such as Suit Direct, Ben Sherman, and Jeff Banks menswear, but also holds licenses for well-known fashion labels like Ted Baker. In addition to their impressive portfolio of brands, Baird Group has established strong partnerships with leading garment suppliers across the globe, with operations in various countries including Egypt, China, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Turkey.

Baird Group’s customer base is equally impressive, with top retailers like John Lewis, House of Fraser, and TK Maxx among their high street clients. They also own and operate 12 Ben Sherman stores while supplying the brand to numerous wholesale accounts. With the recent £7 million funding from BFS, Baird Group is now in a prime position to take huge strides in their international growth and stock volume expansion. This significant financial boost will further solidify their presence in the menswear market, and their commitment to offering affordable and stylish fashion will continue to be a top priority.
