AZ Factory to Unveil Alber Elbaz’s Final Creations

The final creations imagined by the late Alber Elbaz are set to hit the market soon. AZ Factory, the fashion brand founded by Elbaz, will unveil the last designs he envisioned on June 12th. This date holds special significance, as it would have been the couturier’s 60th birthday. The collection, named SuperTech-Superchic, aims to merge high technology with haute couture. It features pieces made from eco-dyed microfiber nylon, a material commonly used in the sports textile industry, and incorporates 3D knitting technology for a unique “athletic couture” effect. Elegance, comfort, and modernity are the key principles that Elbaz cherished and are deeply ingrained in the DNA of AZ Factory.

In addition to the SuperTech-Superchic collection, AZ Factory will also introduce its very first collection of molded nylon bags. These bags, created using high-frequency techniques, offer a modular design that can be worn in multiple ways – over the shoulder, on the waist, or by hand. The brand will also launch a Free To collection, featuring hand-sewn messages of escape and hope on sustainable fabrics. As a tribute to Elbaz’s vision, a percentage of the profits from the sales of these pieces will be donated to the It Gets Better Project, which supports LGBTQ+ youth.

AZ Factory’s release of these collections is not only a continuation of Elbaz’s creative legacy but also a way to honor his contributions to the fashion industry. Laurent Malecaze, CEO of AZ Factory, expressed the brand’s commitment to commemorating Elbaz’s life and work, stating that they aim to bring the same level of passion and love that he brought to them every day. The brand plans to hold a commemoration during the Spring-Summer 2022 Paris Fashion Week Women.
