AZ Factory Pays Tribute to Alber Elbaz with Captivating Runway Show

AZ Factory, the fashion house founded by the late Alber Elbaz, is honorably preparing to pay tribute to the iconic designer during Paris Fashion Week. Rather than opting for a traditional speech or commemoration, the tribute will manifest as a captivating runway show, slated to close the highly anticipated event on October 5. The show, titled “Love Brings Love,” will not only feature a collection designed by AZ Factory, but also include looks created by more than 40 designers who will interpret Elbaz’s audacious and innovative style.

The aim of this unique showcase is to celebrate the enduring legacy of Alber Elbaz. Renowned figures from the fashion industry, such as Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior, Nicolas Ghesquière of Louis Vuitton, Demna Gvasalia of Balenciaga, Rick Owens, and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino, have already been invited to participate. This grand event will bring together the luxury industry’s brightest talents to honor Elbaz and demonstrate their distinctive interpretations of his iconic aesthetic.

To ensure the tribute show truly captures Elbaz’s unique vision and spirit, a team of his former collaborators will be orchestrating the event. Among them are event planner Etienne Russo, makeup artist Pat McGrath, hairstylist Guido Palau, stylist Babeth Dijan, and DJ/musician Ariel Wizman. With their expertise and intimate knowledge of Elbaz’s work, they will create a show that pays homage to his remarkable contributions to the fashion world.

AZ Factory, the “morpho-techno-democratic” couture brand established by Elbaz in collaboration with luxury conglomerate Richemont, had just debuted its first collection during Paris Haute Couture Week in January. Unfortunately, soon after its introduction, Elbaz passed away in April. Despite this heartbreaking loss, the brand remains dedicated to upholding Elbaz’s legacy and pushing the boundaries of the fashion industry.

The tribute show serves as a fitting celebration of Alber Elbaz’s illustrious career and profound impact on the fashion world. By bringing together a diverse group of designers and industry professionals, the show will exemplify the love, respect, and admiration that Elbaz inspired throughout his remarkable life. It will serve as a moment to commemorate his unparalleled talent and the indelible mark he left on the industry.
