AZ Factory and Ester Manas Collaborate for ‘Guest Amigo’

AZ Factory, the fashion house founded by the late Alber Elbaz, continues to honor his legacy through creative collaborations. Their latest partnership, ‘Guest Amigo,’ aims to bring together different brands, talents, and customers to explore new possibilities and push the boundaries of fashion. Following a successful collaboration with South African brand Thebe Magugu, AZ Factory is now teaming up with French-Belgian brand Ester Manas.

Ester Manas has quickly gained recognition in the fashion industry, earning accolades as a finalist in prestigious design competitions and being a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize. The brand is celebrated for its size-inclusive approach, embracing diverse body shapes and curves. They have developed one-size-fits-all garments that prioritize adjustability, unique materials, and specific cuts and structures to cater to a wide range of people.

Ester Manas initially had an interest in art before embarking on her fashion journey at the Ateliers de Sèvres. She further pursued her studies at La Cambre, a renowned fashion school in Brussels. Along the way, she gained valuable experience working with well-known brands like Balenciaga, Paco Rabanne, Annemie Verbeke, and Acne Studios. In 2019, she co-founded her own fashion label with Balthazar Delepierre, a typography student who has been an important collaborator for many years.

This collaboration with Ester Manas perfectly aligns with AZ Factory’s vision of “democratic fashion.” Their debut collection, in partnership with luxury group Richemont, showcased a groundbreaking stretch fabric that can adapt to different sizes. The upcoming collection designed by Ester Manas for AZ Factory is set to be unveiled in June, with the pieces hitting stores in the fall. Additional details about this exciting collaboration have yet to be revealed.

AZ Factory’s commitment to pushing boundaries and celebrating diversity through partnerships like ‘Guest Amigo’ ensures that Alber Elbaz’s legacy lives on. These collaborations not only highlight the talents of emerging designers but also reinforce the brand’s mission to create inclusive and innovative fashion for everyone. Fashion enthusiasts can eagerly anticipate the launch of the Ester Manas-designed collection, which promises to bring a fresh perspective to AZ Factory’s already impressive repertoire.
