Authentic Bespoke Group Bolsters Board with Notable Additions

Authentic Bespoke Group, a prominent fashion and accessories group based in the UK, has recently bolstered its board with two notable additions. Deborah Lloyd, the former chief creative officer of Kate Spade, and Giles English, the co-founder of Bremont Watch Company, have joined the group as board observers and advisors. Their extensive experience and expertise will be instrumental in providing strategic advice and creative mentorship as Authentic Bespoke Group expands its already impressive portfolio.

Deborah Lloyd, renowned for her vast industry experience with renowned brands such as Burberry and Daniel Hechter, will dedicate a substantial amount of time to offering guidance and strategic advice for the next two years. She will primarily focus on Tusting, the group’s luxury heritage brand, and collaborate closely with Alison Lloyd, the creative director and founder of the group’s lead contemporary brand, Ally Capellino. Stephen Murphy, the chairman of AB, expressed his enthusiasm about having Lloyd on board, emphasizing the invaluable contribution her expertise and knowledge will make to the future strategy of Tusting.

Giles English, who has successfully cultivated Bremont Watch Company into an internationally recognized British brand for over 18 years, will serve as a board observer for Authentic Bespoke Group. English has been informally advising the group since early 2020 and will bring his expertise in collaborative marketing to the table. CEO Rebecca Simonds underscored the significance of English’s contributions, particularly in the forthcoming launches of India Hicks and a ‘re-loved’ campaign with Barbour for the Tusting brand, which will be available at Selfridges.

Co-founded in 2017 by Stephen Murphy and Rebecca Simmonds, Authentic Bespoke Group encompasses several companies including Budd (Shirt Makers), JR Tusting & Co, and Ally Capellino. The group also boasts two international subsidiaries in the US and China. Murphy emphasized the importance of having a multi-talented team, a robust e-commerce presence, and a local manufacturing base, especially in the face of the global pandemic. Their early investment in e-commerce paid off in 2020 as it accounted for over 70% of branded sales and provided direct control over most of their manufacturing processes.

With the addition of industry veterans Deborah Lloyd and Giles English to its board, Authentic Bespoke Group is primed for continued growth and success in the fashion and accessories industry. The expertise and guidance they bring will undoubtedly shape the group’s strategic direction and future endeavors.
