AMFI’s Individuals Emphasizes Sustainability in Fashion with Gen 24 Collection

AMFI’s Individuals label has recently marked its return after a 10-month hiatus, unveiling their Gen 24 collection on November 9th. This time, Individuals is making a bold statement by emphasizing sustainability in the realm of fashion. The brand revealed in a press release their commitment to challenging the conventional norms of the fashion system by taking a forward-thinking approach.

In the past, Individuals would present a new collection of 30 pieces every semester. However, their new strategy involves releasing only one product per semester. This single item will be the culmination of thorough research and market trends, prioritizing sustainability and transparency.

Charlotte Lokin, the lead of Individuals, stressed the significance of adapting to the evolving fashion landscape. She underscored the need for innovation and transformation to ensure the industry’s viability. Through the reimagining of Individuals, the fashion school intends to provide a platform that motivates students to question, experiment, and redefine the boundaries of the field.

Established in 2006, Individuals was the brainchild of 24 third- and fourth-year students from AMFI’s diverse departments, including fashion design, management, and branding. Serving as a hands-on experience for students before they graduate, Individuals has showcased its collections at Amsterdam Fashion Week, solidifying its place in the fashion industry.

With this relaunch centered on sustainability, Individuals is establishing a new benchmark for fashion education and driving innovation within the sector. By fostering a culture of creativity and ingenuity, the label aims to nurture the next generation of trailblazers in the fashion world.
