Alber Elbaz The Dream Factory

The Design Museum of Holon in Israel is gearing up to host a highly anticipated retrospective on the renowned designer Alber Elbaz. The exhibition, titled ‘Alber Elbaz The Dream Factory,’ is set to take over the entire museum and will feature an impressive collection of couture pieces, rare archival materials, personal belongings, and never-before-seen photographs. Additionally, visitors will have the opportunity to witness the debut collection of AZ Factory, the fashion house that Elbaz founded before his untimely passing in April 2021.

A particular highlight of the retrospective will be the inclusion of ensembles from Love Brings Love, a tribute fashion show that took place in Paris in October 2021 to honor Elbaz’s legacy. This unforgettable show showcased creations from 46 designers representing esteemed fashion houses like Dior, Gucci, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen, as well as various avant-garde designers. The exhibition in Israel will present these extraordinary designs in a specially curated multimedia format.

The upcoming exhibition follows the success of ‘Love Brings Love, The Alber Elbaz Tribute Show,’ which was held earlier this year at Palais Galliera, a distinguished fashion museum in Paris. Curated by Ya’ara Keydar, the retrospective in Holon will open its doors to the public on September 15, following a grand opening event on September 12. Fashion enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore this remarkable exhibition until March 2023.

Alber Elbaz, born in Casablanca and raised in Holon, made a significant impact on the fashion industry with his unique vision and extraordinary talent. ‘Alber Elbaz The Dream Factory’ is a collaborative effort that brings together Elbaz’s longtime creative partners, including AZ Factory, Alex Koo, Stinsensqueeze graphic design studio, consultant Shelly Verthime, International Communications Director Hania Destelle, and various international artists, photographers, and video editors. The exhibition has also received extensive support from Elbaz’s family in Israel.

The roster of designers participating in the exhibition is truly prestigious. It includes names like AZ FACTORY, Alber Elbaz, Alaïa, Pieter Mulier, Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton, Balenciaga, Demna Gvasalia, Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, Bottega Veneta, Daniel Lee, Burberry, Riccardo Tisci, Casablanca, Charaf Tajer, Chloe, Gabriela Hearst, Christian Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri, and Christopher John Rogers, among many others.
