Aeffe Reports Revenue Growth in H1 2022

Italian fashion group Aeffe has seen a significant increase in its revenue for the first half of 2022, reporting a growth of 13.9% to reach €176.5 million. Aeffe, renowned for its luxury ready-to-wear clothing, footwear, and leather accessories, is the proud owner of esteemed brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini, Moschino, and Pollini. However, despite the impressive revenue growth, the net profit for the period dropped to €2.9 million from €13.3 million in the previous year. The gross operating margin (EBITDA) stood at €20.9 million. Aeffe invested approximately €4.3 million in the first six months of the year, primarily focusing on acquiring third-party assets and software purchases.

Massimo Ferretti, the executive chairman of Aeffe, expressed his satisfaction with the group’s performance, attributing it to their effective business model and the success of their collections across various sales channels. Ferretti specifically highlighted the strong growth in retail and emphasized the evolution of Moschino’s new strategic direction. He also mentioned the completion of a project related to the direct management of their distribution in the Chinese market, anticipating its positive impact in the near future. While acknowledging the challenging market conditions, Ferretti conveyed his confidence in Aeffe’s commitment to sustainable growth in the ready-to-wear and accessories segments. Furthermore, he emphasized the group’s dedication to expanding their presence in high-potential markets such as Greater China and the USA.
